# Visuary AI > ICHRA & ACA decision intelligence for brokers, carriers, TPAs, and enrollment platforms — actuarial-grade modeling from employer contribution strategy through individual employee plan selection. Visuary AI helps benefits distribution partners lead the shift to ICHRA (the Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement) and the ACA individual market. Its engine models group-to-ICHRA transitions at the individual employee level — simulating out-of-pocket cost, provider networks, and formularies — and guides employees to the right plan when they enter the individual market. Educational content on this site is for informational purposes only and is not legal, tax, actuarial, or benefits advice. ## Solutions - [ICHRA Model](https://visuary.ai/solutions/ichra-model): Model group-to-ICHRA transitions at the individual employee level, with winner/loser analysis and auto-generated, client-ready PowerPoint and Excel output. For brokers, consultants, and distribution partners. - [Plan Navigator](https://visuary.ai/solutions/plan-navigator): Personalized plan scoring that guides each employee to the best-fit plan — not just the cheapest — using individual out-of-pocket simulation and provider-network evaluation. Embeds into enrollment workflows via API. ## Data - [Individual Market Data](https://visuary.ai/data): Every on- and off-exchange plan and the provider networks behind them, down to the rating area, county, and ZIP — the data backbone behind ICHRA Model and Plan Navigator. ## Connectors - [Actuarial Value Calculator](https://visuary.ai/connectors/actuarial-value-calculator): A free Claude connector that returns the actuarial value and metal tier of any health plan from its Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) or brochure, using an independent implementation of the CMS 2026 AV methodology. ## Research Peer-citable working papers with registered hypotheses, deposited under a DOI and an open licence. We test what models optimize, how accurate their recommendations are, and whether richer consumer information or better insurance data improves performance. The results suggest consumer AI may be approaching a point where it can provide genuinely useful plan-selection support. *Khris Dai, FSA (2026) · DOI [10.2139/ssrn.7235019](https://doi.org/10.2139/ssrn.7235019) · open access at https://zenodo.org/records/21813452 · licensed CC BY 4.0* Key findings: - Across current frontier models, 80–86% of top plan recommendations are justified as minimizing expected annual cost. Risk protection is the runner-up’s job, not the top pick’s. - Correct recommendations improve from 36% for the previous model generation to 57% for today’s frontier models. Reasoning effort matters as much as model family: the same GPT-5.4-mini falls from 56% to 33% correct when reasoning is disabled. - Disclosing conditions and medications lifts correct recommendations to 61% across four models. More clinical detail adds nothing beyond that, but supplying market-level prices reaches 73% for Claude Sonnet 5 and 90% for GPT-5.5. - More detail can backfire by cohort: regular-care members fall from 72% to 28% correct once detailed clinical information is added, because models increasingly underestimate out-of-pocket costs. - Stability is not accuracy. GPT-5.5’s four responses to the same scenario disagree 29% of the time, and when it recommends the wrong plan, all four agree on that same wrong plan 62% of the time. ## Resources - [What Is an ACA Rating Area? How Geography Sets Your Premium](https://visuary.ai/resources/what-is-aca-rating-area): An ACA rating area is the geographic region a state uses to set individual and small-group health insurance premiums. There are over 500 nationwide, and they are a major reason two people of the same age pay very different premiums — and a key factor in whether ICHRA works. - [What Is Actuarial Value? Metal Tiers and What They Really Mean](https://visuary.ai/resources/what-is-actuarial-value): Actuarial value is the share of average medical costs a health plan pays for a standard population — the basis for the bronze, silver, gold, and platinum metal tiers. Here is what it measures, how it is calculated, and why it is not the same as your out-of-pocket costs. - [What Is ICHRA? A Plain-English Guide to the Individual Coverage HRA](https://visuary.ai/resources/what-is-ichra): ICHRA lets employers of any size reimburse employees tax-free for individual health insurance instead of offering a group plan.
